Five monsters in every pack, one always Rare or better.

Eight rarities. The top three are numbered.

Unique, Ultra and Mythical monsters can drop as foils with a print number on the card. Each edition prints 500 of every Unique foil, 100 of every Ultra and 10 of every Mythical, and never prints them again.

Standard copies are never limited, so nobody is locked out of a card's power. A foil just proves you were there first.

Five tribes and the Titans

245 monsters, and every tribe plays its own way. The tribe you lean on most also decides your comeback power, so mix two or go all in on one.

  • Cave Dwellers

Guards hold the line, and Burrow makes every Dweller tougher than the one before.

    Comeback power: Dig In

  • Swamp Brutes

They feed on smaller monsters to grow, then lure yours into a bad fight.

    Comeback power: Mire Grasp

  • War Beasts

They charge in the turn they land and get angrier with every hit they survive.

    Comeback power: Stampede

  • Wraiths

Hard to finish off. A Wraith's Last Breath keeps hurting you after it falls.

    Comeback power: Soul Drain

  • Sea Wyrms

They pull monsters back to your hand so you can play their best tricks twice.

    Comeback power: Tidal Blessing

  • Titans

The giants of the set. Few, huge and costly, and they fight beside the Beasts.

    Comeback power: Stampede

A ranked battle in the Ember Caldera arena, with monsters trading blows on a burning battlefield

Quick battles against real people

Ranked matches pair you with someone near your rating, live, one move at a time. Turns last 75 seconds, so a whole game fits in a coffee break.

  • Read the Vault Dial. It rolls both players' energy each round, and you can see next round's roll before it lands.
  • Never out of it. Losing monsters fills your Surge meter. When it's full, your tribe's comeback power can turn the whole game.
  • Every monster hits differently. Each one has its own signature attack, played out on a 3D battlefield.

Learn how to play

Eight arenas. Each one bends a rule.

Every battle is fought somewhere, and the place matters. Learn the arenas and you'll know when to hold back and when to flood the board.

  • Ember Caldera

Erupts every third round, burning every monster for 2.

  • Drowned Ruins

High tide gives small monsters +1 Attack and +1 Health.

  • Storm Spire

Lightning strikes an enemy every time you end your turn.

  • Bone Orchard

The first monster you lose each turn rises again as a Bone Wisp.

  • Mirefen Bog

Deep mud. Nothing can attack the turn it's played.

  • Crystal Hollow

From round 5, every card costs 1 less.

  • Blood Colosseum

The crowd wants blood. Every fight deals 1 extra damage.

  • Moonlit Altar

Surge meters fill twice as fast.

Trade your spares

Sell the monsters you don't need and buy the ones you're missing from other players on the market. Everything is priced in in-game coins, and nothing in Monster Vault can be cashed out for real money.

Fair by design

Every pack, battle and trade is checked on our servers, so nobody can fake a pull or a win. There's no chat, no ads and no tracking.
